Awana is a fun-filled evening intended to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. This is accomplished through a three-part program consisting of games, handbook time, and council time. Game time involves team competition. Each week, the children are broken into four teams, and one team is awarded for earning the most points during the evening. The handbook session revolves around the students memorizing scripture and reciting it to leaders/listeners. When the students pass sections in their books, they earn individual awards and points for their team. The evening concludes with council time. It includes worship, a short lesson, and individual/team awards.
Awana takes place on Wednesday nights in the sanctuary from 7:00-8:30pm.
Please bring & pick up your children through the East door.
The aim of the Sparks Club (Kindergarten through 2nd Grade) is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks. The name Truth & Training (3rd & 4th Grade) reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow — today. To view a sample of the T&T curriculum CLICK HERE.
