Starting on April 12th, Pastor Neil, Doug Henkle, and Jon Kirchoff are going to be going to Africa to help with a conference for several area pastors. This page will be where they will be keeping us up to date with what's going on.
[I hope to have Doug & Pastor Neil write a little bit here as well.]
From Jon:
In looking back over the week, my opinion could be heavily skewed by the fact that God allowed Doug and I to lay on our backs in pain and through restless nights. In frustration, I can choose to be upset that the week ended like it did. Honestly, I was upset at God! Why wouldn’t He heal us so we could continue to be supportive of Pastor Neil [Who ended up having to carry us on his back of encouragement].
You know, I was thinking about the last few days of the trip and realized something. In several sessions throughout the week, the topic covered was understanding lordship. We focused on truly dying to our selfishness and shouldering the work of Christ. Am I truly surrendered to Him? After Friday, I didn’t want anything to do with Entebbe! I wanted to be in my bed under my mom’s care with American food restoring me to health. I was temple to be angry at God! I wanted to give up! Until now, I had never been on missions oversees, and I never wanted to go back!
Let me ask you this. Do you not think Jesus experienced these very same feelings as His flesh was ripped from His body receiving 39 lashes? Did He not want to be angry at God for making Him carry His own cross on His beaten and wasted body? He sweet blood at the thought of what He was about to endure. It is not hard for me to imagine Him wanting to be home [in heaven] under His father’s care enjoying the riches of heaven. He was pushed over the edge and spoke out of exasperation, “Father, why have you forsaken me?”
My joy was tested. My happiness was gone. In the last 2 months, I have experience greater joy than ever before. What about during this flu? I say my happiness was gone for this fact. Happiness is based upon outward circumstances. Joy is based upon faith in God. I wouldn’t say I was happy camper, but I didn’t complain or grumble very much about my situation. I find strength in knowing that this is joy, and it is only found in Jesus Christ. Look at what compelled Jesus to press on, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)
While taking a moment to reflect on the last few tiresome days, I felt like He told me I would have been spoiled if the week had gone the way I wanted it to go. It would have been fine and dandy to make it through the week in great health, but I would expect that on every other trip that I would take. You see, understanding lordship requires accepting the risks that will follow. There are definite risks in following Christ: rejection, temptation to turn back to the luxuries of the world, pressure outside comfort zones, and death [to the flesh]. I didn’t feel at great risk taking this trip, but on Thursday night I realized I was in for more than I had signed up for.
God requires us making Him Lord of our life. This is a concept understood by very few “Christians” in America. It took me 3 days before I would bow down on their dirt floor during worship. I know that I having many more trials and tests in the future that will tell God who is lord of my life. What about you? What are you having a difficult time surrendering to God? What is He asking of you that you feel is way to hard? The concept of missions is distorted in America. I believe missions begins when you step outside the church doors. It is when you extend a hand to neighbor, when you love an enemy, or speak life to a stranger. You don’t have to travel 9000 miles to experience missions.
My travels will not end here! I will not let a silly fight with side effects keep me from experiencing God best! He has something greater for you! Will you make Him Lord?
P.S. Thank you so much for your prayers and support during the weeks preceding and during our trip. I really believe that the Lord allowed me to feel your prayers. Many of you were there spiritually worship and praising God with us! This trip would not have been possible without your backing! May God richly bless your support!
Friday- The last day of our journey is here. It flew by so quickly. I think if anyone had told me that I would be speaking in four sessions a day and preach every night I would have paniced. I can’t imagine how anyone could do this. Actually I didn’t think I had that much to say, but the notes I had prepared prior to coming has really paid off.
Both Doug and Jon were unable to get out of bed today. The sickness has really taken their strength. I feel sorry because they are so miserable. Again my cheery pep-talks have probably deserve nothing less than a pillow fight and I have tried to stay sensitive. They have both been so wonderful to be with and they have served God with all their hearts. But today much prayer has gone up for them.
I tried my best to introduce Jon to some of the young ladies here, I believe they were doing their best to catch his eye. There was a swoon in the crowd when I announced at the evening service that Jon would not be with us that evening. I believe that many may have felt they missed their opportunity to find the man of their dreams.
[More to be written.]
Jon & Doug’s perspective on Friday: the ceiling and the back of our eyelids. We were struggling. We took turns all night in the bathroom. I did not sleep for more that an hour at a time until around 4am! Unfortunately, we had to stay back at the hotel. We sure hated missing what God was doing with the pastors and the people of Entebbe. We didn’t have any energy from not sleeping and not being able to keep any food down.
Pastor Neil’s armor bearers could not carry his armor. He went off, standing strong in what God has gifted him to do. Doug and I were in and out of naps all day long. Pastor Neil would come back and give us an update during his breaks. In the afternoon, he brought us back some Sprite and the closest thing they had to saltine crackers. Doug and I munched a little bit and went back to sleep. We still struggled with keeping anything in our stomachs. The day passed pretty quickly since we slept the time away.
I’m writing on behalf of Jon who is currently out of commission. Both he and Doug have true evidence of a full on flu. I feel so sorry for both of them since I, as of now, am feeling better than ever. My jokes are landing like lead balloons with them. Every once in a while they will give me a grunt of approval but hardly a smile. I don’t know what is worse for them, the flu or a happy camper full of energy.
Thursday morning we started out with a full day ahead. Our morning sessions began at 10 a.m. with two hours of teaching. Doug was feeling a bit sick after the meetings so he went back to the motel while Jon and Pastor Neil went to Kampala with Pastor Aaron and some of his staff. Kampala is the capital city of Uganda which is about a 45 minute drive north of Entebbe. There are over two million people in the city and we found only one street sign.
There were people everywhere. They say the city is no bigger than seven miles wide. There are tall buildings on high hills and small shops lining every street. We ate at a motel where the president of the country was having a conference, I believe we saw him come into the hotel.
As we were on our trip, the pastors who had come to the conference had taken their own trip. Some of them had traveled over two hundred miles to come to the conference. Many of the pastors and wives had never seen an airplane. So they took them to the airport to watch them take off and land, it was one of their highlights. They also went to the zoo here and most had never seen the animals that we take for granted in our zoo at home that is resident in their own land. We are truly blessed to have what we have.
Pastor Neil spoke on being an extravagant giver. It was challenging speaking on that subject knowing that the people of this country might make a possible $1000 annually. But giving is giving no matter what country you are in and God’s principles are the same. The people must learn the same lessons of faith just like we do at home. (It was surprising that on Friday night they took up and offering for our team that amounted to almost $200, one fifth of a man’s annual salary.)
Our 9 p.m. service lasted to about ten thirty. The pastors were hungry and asked many questions. They have the same questions about the same problems that we have in the U.S. They are really shocked to think that any American has any problems at all. When I told them that we were going to have a food outreach center they wanted to know why? It didn’t make any since that an American would need food or be without anything.

Arise and shine! That is the name of the conference but also what we do every morning at 11pm Garden City time! This morning, Doug woke up pretty early. He had a hard time sleeping! He got up and went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and to continue his preparation for his message on the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He has been re-reading “Sacred Romance” and has found some good thoughts to use in his message.
At 10am, they picked us up, drove us to the church and ushered us into the meeting. There have been around 40-45 pastors in the last couple of sessions. Last night, we stop at a supermarket to pick up some more notebooks for the pastors to take notes in. They were extremely grateful to have more paper to write on. Doug started by having us all sing a song that the mass choir had sung the other night, “He is Lord!” Their worship is so pure! He moved on teaching the importance of surrendering to the lordship of Christ – “Christo”. He did a really good job communicating his thoughts and getting the point across! After the service, a “muzungu” women (white women) came up to speak to us. She is from Missouri! Imagine that!
Pastor Neil spoke during the second morning session on using your time wisely. He talk about 5 levels of leadership; the best being a discipling leader. He spent some time teaching on the 20% 80% principle and how it applies to accomplishing your most important task and spending quality time with your leaders. They had plenty of questions. As we continue to speak, the more they realize that there are many similarities between church difficulties in America and here. Yesterday when Pastor Neil was talking about technology being one of the things we review after services, he mentioned the demons in the sound system. They thought we different have any technical difficulties. They are starting to realize that leadership here is no different then leadership in America.
For our lunch break, we went to a restaurant in the expensive downtown [it actually had buildings]. The other downtown, where we went to the internet café, is just little shacks. We enjoyed some more good Chinese food. It was nice to have some egg rolls, something we are familiar with! After some more good conversation with Pastor Aaron and Pastor Fred, they took us back to the hotel. I decided to stay with them to go back to Pastor Aaron’s house and use his internet. It is a lot faster than the internet café’s connection. They have slow internet so you take longer and spend more money! On our way back, we stopped at the academy to see how the finishing touches were coming along. They are working on the restrooms [actually, outhouses]. I started uploading some picture to the website and realized they were too big. I was going to go to the afternoon session but wasn’t finished on the computer until after the session had begun. I didn’t want to walk in late, so I continued working on making the pictures smaller to they would work.
Pastor Neil said that the session was difficult. He was talking on the difference of being a leader and having followers and being a leader who has leaders following him. It is something that is easy to communicate in the US, but Pastor Neil found it difficult to get across here. Doug stayed at the hotel to rest and slept hard until we came back. He is getting ready to go to the hotel restaurant, have some coffee, and work on his lesson for Friday, “The Obedient Life”. He asked that you would pray for him to have the Lord’s insight. What he spoke on this morning is what he has been thinking about recently and really experiencing in his life. He would appreciate your prayers for wisdom as he looks through the material on the “Obedient Life.” It will be new information to him.
Tomorrow, I will teach the first morning session, and Pastor Neil will lead the second session as a Q & A time. In the afternoon, we are going to travel to Kampala for some tourism. I am going to say farewell for now and work on my lesson on the importance of discipling. This is something that is becoming more and more real to me as I coming to serve under Pastor Neil and observe the situations of the children at Cornerstone. Later, I will write an update about tonight’s activities.

Doug woke up around 5:30am and I shortly after 6am. Pastor Neil did a lot of preparation topic/content wise before coming and had binders made for Doug and I to use as resources. We greatly appreciate the time spent typing the material by the secretaries at church. About half of the material is from a discipleship curriculum (Equipping the Saints). Pastor Neil has discipled nearly 300 people with this curriculum. Since November, several others and I have been privileged to have this time with him. Having said all of that, I am familiar with the material. I began to review and collect my thoughts about the material and organize how I wanted to present it.
The last night, Pastor Fred said that they would be at the hotel to pick us up around 9:45am. One thing we have learned since being here is that they are very laid back! I am starting to think that the time they tell us they are going to pick us up is actually the time they start thinking about leaving the church. It is about a ten minute drive. Anyway, he arrived at 10:00am. As soon as we arrived, they welcomed us in and had me begin speaking!
I was trying to communicate that our objectives need to be formed around God’s perspective! There are three things that are eternal: God, His Word, and the souls of men and women. I also taught on five crowns that ever Christian can work on earth to attain in heaven. It was a lot of information and may have resulted in informational overload! I need to work on my delivery the next time I speak! However, they are like sponges! It is my prayer that they will be able to go home and study/reflect on what they were able to write down.
After a ten minute break, Pastor Neil taught! He jumped right in and began teaching on working on it instead of always working in it. He encouraged the pastors to take time to step back and observe/inspect things within their ministries and make appropriate changes. They were very receptive because they had never heard of this concept. He finished around noon, which was 30 minutes before the food for the pastors would arrive. They wanted more! So Pastor Neil got back up and taught for another 30 minutes. He transitioned from preaching to teaching practical church ministry and expounded upon working on it. He began to share specifically things that he does to practice this. Again, they had never heard this and were very grateful. I have mentioned in the other notes that Pastor Neil was having a hard time understanding if the pastors were getting what he was saying, so Pastor Aaron began asking them to specifically share what stood out to them and what they learned. At this point, there was a lot of feedback. They are trying to soak up everything that they can! Pastor Aaron then announced that he was going to add another session at 3pm for the remainder of the week! They are milking everything they can get out of Pastor Neil!
They drove us to the Imperial Resort Beach hotel, which is right on Victoria Lake. This place was high class! Rooms range from $150-700 per night! We made our way to the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious Chinese buffet! Pastor Aaron and his staff have joined us for meals on several occasions. It seems that they seem to talk amongst themselves. I don’t know if they think we don’t want to talk or what the deal is. Anyway after the meal, Doug starting asking Pastor Aaron some questions about how much it would cost to complete the additions to the sanctuary. We have been trying to get as much information about ways that we can contribute, and hopefully send some of you! Pastor Aaron was unsure on the cost but was open to having a team travel over and help complete it. He also gave us some details about the schools here. They operate in trimesters beginning the first Monday of February. This Friday will wrap up their semester. The government pays its teachers $120 a month to teach here. Pastor Aaron said that paying the teachers and feeding the children lunch (many of them have very little food at home) are his biggest concerns. Doug has been crunching the numbers and figured out it would cost about $14,000 a year to feed 270 students lunch each day.
Pastor Aaron is strong leader driven by vision. On Sunday, he mentioned the vision of Entebbe Miracle Center:
1) To have a 6,000 member church (a 1/10 of the population of Entebbe).
2) To reduce illiteracy amongst the children. To teach children to read & write English.
3) To raise up pastors to send out to plant churches throughout the country and continent.
Close to the resort, there were some caves that Pastor Aaron and a few others would go to and pray every night for 2 years for Entebbe. There is a definitely hunger and passion for the things of God these peoples’ lives! This month, Pastor Aaron is challenging his people to read through the Bible completely! That is around 40 chapters a day! They want to see the greater things of God!
During the 3pm session, Pastor Neil got really practical and spoke on some of the administrative things that the staff strives to practice. He bought up the system of review that is set in place for the Sunday services. This was revolutionary to the pastors including Pastor Aaron and his staff! Pastor Neil talk specifically about flow and how a service needs to flow smoothly. I think he received the most positive feedback from this session!
During out break, Pastor Neil went to catch up on his z’s. Doug was also able to get a good nap in. I stayed up to try to catch up on this journal. I cannot sleep well at night if I take an afternoon nap. We have generally stripped down to shorts to relax during this time and enjoy the cool breeze that moves through the building.
One of the lights in our room was missing a bulb, so Doug grabbed one from the lobby area (We are staying in a separate building from the main hotel property. It is probably 40 yards from the main hotel. I don’t believe there is anyone else staying in our building). When he screwed it in, it exploded! I guess that is why there wasn’t a bulb in there to begin with. The electricity [from the city] came on last night around 7pm. It will most likely be turned off tonight around the same time, so we will switch over to a generator. Thankfully, the hotel has a generator. It would be difficult to sleep without the fan running in our room!
He explained the situation to the maid and asked if someone could fix it. They do not have 2 sets of keys for the rooms, so she locked the room and took the key to go give it to the maintenance man. I am out in the lobby in the my shorts without a t-shirt typing on my computer when Pastor Fred showed up to take us back to the church! It probably took us 15 minutes to get the same maid back to the room to unlock it, so much for a proper flow for the evening service.
After quickly getting dressed, we were off to the evening service. When we arrived, we enjoyed watching the Miracle Saints, the mass choir, and special guest Child Africa all perform! We all agree that we really like their style of worship and passion to sing praise! Pastor began delivering a powerful message revealing our advantages over the devil! He gave some key points that the devil cannot understand our thoughts. He only knows what to tempt us by what we say and how we react to his actions. Pastor shared a story of a man that really bugged him. He was praying and asked God to stop what was going on. God’s response was, “Shutup.” Pastor Neil was telling the devil exactly how to tempt him on accident by what he was praying to God. God told Pastor to utilize his prayer language to communicate what his spirit was experiencing! The next time he bumped into that annoying man, he was about to get frustrated, and God stopped him again. “Do not show the devil through your actions your disgust or he will know how to tempt you.” Then Pastor Neil invited anyone who did not have their prayer language to come forward. Probably 200-250 people came forward! It was a great time to let God minister to the people!
Around 8:20pm, Pastor Fred took us back to our hotel to have some dinner. All we all ordered, we waited a good 45 minutes to receive our food (like I said previously, they are really laid back!). We enjoyed a good conversation with Pastor Fred as he explained that his wedding reception was held in this courtyard of the hotel. He expressed how at the reception, he was a mess because he did not know where he was going to take his bride for the honeymoon with no money! We went on to discuss our different travel adventures and mishaps with different cultures’ food! I tried learning some simple Lugandan phrases. I hope I can remember them! Pastor Aaron called us to find out where we were and learned of the slow service at the hotel. He decided that he would teach that evenings pastors’ session.
Please continue to pray for wisdom and guidance. Ask for supernatural understanding for what and how to present to out brothers and sisters in Christ. Doug is teaching the first session tomorrow! Keep him in your prayers (even though he will be finished by the time you even read this.) I imagine that I will teach again Thursday morning, and he will teach Friday! I have enjoyed being in the evening services and having the revelation that there are 200-300 Kansans in the room with us! God has let me experience all of your prayers! You are here! Maybe not physically, but God hears your prayers and is letting us feel them. It is kind of like being wrapped in a nice warm blanket! What has happened thus far is largely due to your obedience to lift us up!!!!

[Updated]
We all had a great nights sleep. We woke up around 7am (11pm Kansas time) and began getting ready for the day! The weather was cool and refreshing! There were a lot of “lake bugs” [I think they are like our gnats] everywhere this morning. Pastor Fred & Pastor Joseph picked us up this morning around 10:50am. We headed off for the bank where we exchanged dollars for shillings. 1675 shillings per US dollar was the exchange rate. Doug read while doing some research that the average income is a $1000.
Pastor Neil taught to about 15 to 20 pastors and their wives this morning on the call of God! We are unsure of what they are retaining or understanding. However, they are always very appreciative.
It is currently 12:40pm here, and we stopped at an internet café to update the website before returning to the hotel for the afternoon. The electricity is very unreliable here. Last night in the middle of the service, it cut out. The sound guys ran to start the generator. They alternate days using the power. One day they have it. The next, another area utilizes it.
On the way back to the hotel, we stopped for gas. And we complain when gas breaks $2! It was a little over a $1.60 per liter. We filled up the tank, 14.5 gallons [55 liters], for $89; that equals $6.17 a gallon! It is pretty crazy to think that we spent almost a tenth of the average yearly income on one tank of gas!
Back at the hotel, we ate lunch and paid off our bill for meals. Mine [Jon] was $21.50 total for 5 meals, lots of bottled water, and 6 shirts ironed. We have had 2 meals with the pastors. We could not have paid for one meal with all of them in the US with the combined amount of both meals.
Tonight, Pastor Neil will address the congregation at 5pm and the pastors again at 9pm. Year round, the church has service every night at 5pm except Saturdays. Tomorrow at 10am, we will have a session [probably Pastor Neil] and at 11am, either Doug or I!
The internet is very slow! Pastor Tony, you would be frustrated! I spent 30 minutes logging on to our website and adding the 3 days’ updates. This was just copying and pasting the text I had already written on my computer. In America, this would have only taken 3 minutes. We had hoped to add some pictures but it would take probably an hour per picture! We will see what we can do!
We arrived at the service this evening at 6:30pm and enjoyed more musical performances from the Miracle Saints dance group and the worship team. Pastor Neil addressed the crowd with a call to rise up and worship God extravagantly! He emphasized the mistake the Solomon made in his worship! His attitude changed! When we first read about Solomon, we find out he was very passionate for God! He desired to worship the living God with all of his heart! Then came the situation where Solomon gave into the desires of his flesh and married a woman from a different country. God had specifically commanded that this should not happen. Solomon’s worship for God began to decline! Pastor Neil challenged the young people to not settle for what Satan is trying to offer them to distract them from the worship of God. Pastor made it a point that we will experience God’s presence when we learn to passionately worship him. The congregation responded well and began to press in and worship our King! It was wonderful to be a part of these Christians’ worship! They desire so much more!
I would like to make a little clarification about the evening services. Before we arrived, we thought these were going to be crusade services (special services for this week). No! This is nothing different from what they do every week! They always have evening service every night from Monday to Friday!
After the service was over, we asked Pastor Fred if we could eat somewhere besides where we are staying [the menu was becoming to familiar – picky Americans!]. He took us to the Winsor Lake Victoria Hotel named after the Queen of England. We all had a delicious buffet and were able to ask Pastor Fred some more questions about the culture of Uganda. The common term for a white man in Lugandan is “muzungu.” We learned that he and his family have learned to live by faith. The church is only able to pay him $20-25 a week. With all the costs of electricity, water, food, and school [$126 per year for a child], they have to trust that the Lord will make up the difference!
For those that financially contributed to making this trip possible for me, thank you! You generosity helps us pay for the pastors’ meals when they eat with us! Eating meals with them has opened up many wonderful cross-cultural discussions.
After the wonderful meal, Pastor Fred drove us back to the church so Pastor Neil could address the pastors and leaders of the area. There were around 35 in attendance! They are so hungry but yet unexpressive while listening. It has been hard for Pastor Neil to gauge whether his communication is good and if they are following him. He spoke on the importance of working in the direction of an objective. Activity without productivity is simply wasted energy. He challenged them with nine traits of a strong leader and encouraged them to be decisive! Once again, they were very grateful for the word spoken!
We made it back to the hotel around 10:30pm (2:30pm in Kansas) and got ready for bed. We decided that I would be teaching in the morning from 10-11am. I needed to get up early to make sure I was ready!

I am writing this around 8am Garden City time. We have already been up for 10 hours and all are adapting well to the time change. Pastor Neil just spoke with Pastor Kellen and learned that the winter wonderland in Kansas is not sticking around. That is good!
Well, thus far today, we have participated in the 10am worship service which was 3 hours long! You might be thinking that Pastor Neil got to go on and on and teach the whole Bible! He actually spoke for only one hour. Pastor Tony has trained him well. I didn’t even have to stand at the back and give him the signal!
Worship was about an hour long. Then their youth dance group, Miracle Saints Dancers, performed to two songs! This was followed by two more worship songs. One titled “Jesus is #1”. You thought our announcements were long. Theirs lasted 15 minutes!
Pastor Aaron introduced us. Pastor Neil and Doug’s names were easy to pronounce, but they had difficulty with “Churchkoff”. Apparently, they are going to give me an easier nickname! Then Pastor Aaron had Doug and I come up to say a short greeting. I guess we were pretty funny because they laugh more at us than at Pastor Neil’s jokes! We are not sure what Pastor Fred translated, but they had a good laugh.
Pastor Neil spoke on rejecting living as ordinary no matter what Satan or the people around us try to say! He preached of Jesus’ temptation and how He endured until Satan grew tired and left Him. Then the people at the temple tried to label Him as ordinary when they said, “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?” Jesus grasped the extraordinary by believing what God’s Word said about Him! Pastor challenged us to look through eyes of faith toward what God wants to do in our lives!
In the middle of the message, God gave Pastor Neil words of knowledge for several in the congregation! He encouraged the people to become extravagant through believing what God thought of them! Many stood in response to his invitation.
The people hear are very welcoming. Everyone wants to shake your hand and says “Bless you for being here!” Their English is difficult to understand. One gentleman was trying to tell me his name. It took him 5 times before I understood that it was Richard!
Apparently, horses here are very rare! Only the rich can afford them, and they think that they are dangerous! Doug is trying very hard to convince them otherwise. It didn’t help this morning that Pastor Neil said they hurt his back when he rides them. Doug was persistent at lunch to tell the pastors that they are wonderful!
Once again, thank you for your continued prayers! We are excited and expectant to see the hand of God move in these peoples’ lives! Very shortly, Pastor Neil will be teaching at the evening service! Continue to pray for strength, boldness, and understanding, clarity of their accent and ours, and God’s presence to be revealed!

We arrived around 8:45 am local time! The fights went well. No cramping, sickness, or much snoring from your pastor! Pastor Aaron and Pastor Fred welcomed us and drove us to our hotel. Soon after checking in and eating some breakfast, we all crash until 2pm. After eating lunch, Pastor Aaron and Pastor Fred drove us to their church to show us around. There were quite a few people hanging around. Some youth were working on filming a short video, and the children were playing soccer! The worship team/choir was preparing and praying for the morning worship and had just finish a three day prayer and fasting for the weeks services.
After our tour, we went with Pastor Fred to a church member's wedding reception and had a blast! The MC was very lively and everybody was enjoying one another. The pastors said that weddings here are an all day event! We filled up on some food and headed back to the hotel to talk.
The church is currently working on expanding their sanctuary which is built of bricks made of clay and then covered over with mortar. It seems to be the common theme for construction of the buildings. They are in the process of building both a new church office building for the staff and their Christian School Academy. Education is a great need for the children of Entebbe. They hope to open the school next month and facilitate 280 students from grades 1-7. They have 7 classrooms that are each approximately 20 feet square. It will really be a tight fit with 40 students in each classroom!
Sunday services will include a 8am, 10am, and a 5pm service. Pastor Neil will be speaking at the 10am and 5pm services. We will also participate in a children's "party" at 3pm.
The weather (aside from a shower here and there) is tremendous. I would guess it is around 70 degrees. Today was mostly cloudy. You all are in our thoughts as we walk around in our short sleeves shirts! :)
We greatly appreciate all of your support and prayers! Tomorrow (Sunday) is the beginning of what God wants to do in us and through us! We can definitely feel your prayers working on our behalf! THANK YOU!

About the time you are reading this, we are probably in the air! We are probably over the Atlantic Ocean with only a few 1000 miles until we land! We want to thank you for the opportunity to represent Cornerstone Church to God's children in Uganda! Thank you for your prayers and support that allow us to be an extension of the incredible Cornerstone community! You play a critical part (through prayer) in what we get to experience and see God do! THANK YOU CORNERSTONE CHURCH!
