The purpose of Cornerstone Church is to SERVE unselfishly, SHARE our lives openly, and to SHAPE healthy disciples to SEND out with irresistible lifestyles that will change the world.

There are four banners hanging in the sanctuary at Cornerstone Church. They are Serving, Sharing, Shaping, and Sending. These aren't just nice ideas, they are the values by which we define everything that we do.

1. Serving

"Freely giving in the love of God."
As defined in Romans 12:10-11, here at Cornerstone, we feel that Serving is best characterized by three things:

A. Unselfish acts.
B. Imparting value to others.
C. Going above and beyond others' expectations.

2. Sharing

"Sharing our lives"
Based on 1 John 1:3, we believe that Sharing can be done in two distinct ways:

A. Sharing our lives with God.
B. Sharing our lives with people.

3. Shaping

"Disciplined Disciples"
In Colossians 1:28-29 we find the basis of discipleship. We feel Shaping is discipleship and is accomplished with these three ideas:

A. Obedience to the Word.
B. Training.
C. Accountability

4. Sending

"Embracing these values..."
We are calling the members of our church to act out the values of this church much like Acts 1:8 in three places:

A. At home.
B. In our community.
C. In the World.

These four values are how we evaluate everything we do. Every ministry at Cornerstone Church needs to embody these ideas. It is the mark by which we gauge our effectiveness.
